Dekremit
A downloadable game
A decrementing puzzle game, aim for the highest number of matches as possible in a variety of grid sizes, time limitations and conditional quests.
This homebrew showcases some of the early functions of kosiner816, our very own cursor grid engine using 16x16 interactive tiles with 8x8 plain text alongside an original MIDI suite that is being compressed and run through konzert700.
Gameplay
Move your cursor across the grid using arrow keys, push A/B/X/Y buttons to decrement any number selected.
Sequences of three or more identical numbers in a row or column are to be validated, with higher numbers giving out greater scores.
Decrementing any 1s will result in a null score penalty.
Get as many scores as possible before running out of time, try out your luck in 1-5 minutes on differently sized grids.
Modes
Arcade: Score as many matches and high-number combos as possible within 1 to 3 minutes to reach new high scores.
Puzzle: Clear out the entire grid with the help of matches while escaping sufffocation as the rows and columns won't regenerate afterwards.
Expert: It is mandatory to combine at least 3 or more tiles per match without cheating on any one tile upon force.
Meteor: Each cursor tap slowly causes the grid to decay, be careful when and where to decrement in safe locations.
Wishes: Stars falling from the sky reward up to 5 additional seconds to the timer once landing at ground level.
